Now she is very well kept and much more experienced - until someone reads her palm and tells her that, like a
swallow, she will fly back to love. And so, disguised as the shop girl she used to be, Magda takes off for a night
of adventure at the Bullier. There, she meets a young man and begins to relive that other magical night. Although
her wealthy protector arrives to tell her he hopes she won't regret her decision, she runs off with her new beau to
a romantic idyll on the Riviera.

Magda is happy with the way things are, but the young man hopes his parents will reinstate his inheritance and
allow him to marry her. Although permission is granted, Magda is wise enough, discreet enough, and in love
enough to know that her scandalous past will ruin her young lover. She returns home to her benefactor.
