Today we honor the life and work of Cesar Chavez, an American from Mexico who organized the United Farm Workers to ensure their fair treatment. His work led to many improvements for the farm workers. His birthday has become Cesar Chavez Day, a state holiday, in eight states including California.
On Wednesday, March 25, lesbian/gay/bi/trans activists and allies will leave Berkeley, California for a 100-mile walk to the state Capitol in Sacramento.
